Responsible for determining and formulating policies, providing overall direction to the WIKA subsidiary, and planning, directing, and coordinating operational activities at the highest level of management with the help of subordinate executives and staff managers

General Manager - WIKA Mobile Control, LP

RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB:

  • Directs or coordinates the Company’s financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize return on investments, and increase efficiency.

  • Confers with management team to discuss issues, coordinate activities, or resolve problems.

  • Analyzes operations to evaluate performance of the Company or its staff in meeting objectives or to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.

  • Directs activities of departments concerned with production, pricing, sales, or distribution of products.

  • Acts as Senior Management interface to all major customers and channel partners in NA and LATAM

  • Approves contracts or agreements with suppliers, distributors, federal or state agencies, or other organizational entities.

  • Reviews reports submitted by staff members to recommend approval or to suggest changes within the subsidiary.

  • Appoints department heads or managers and assigns or delegates responsibilities to them.

  • Directs human resources activities, including the approval of human resource plans or activities, the selection of directors or other high-level staff, or establishment or organization of major departments

  • Ensures that efforts of NA subsidiary is in close alignment with global activities of WMC and is instrumental part of the global WMC management team

  • Performs ancillary duties as needed or required.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in business or other related area; Masters’ Degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Seven (7) to Ten (10) years’ progressive managerial experience in a technical and/or industrial environment.  Experience within the WIKA organization preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of contracting, negotiating, sales, legal, accounting and production.
  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the WIKA organization.
